The General Skilled Migration visa program is for applicants who have skills and work experience recognized in Australia, and their dependent family members. A sponsoring Australian employer is not necessary, but particular skills are required.

General Skills Migration ‘GSM’ is part of the Points Based Skilled Migration scheme, which compromises different types of visas, including Permanent and Temporary visas. Temporary Skilled visas are pathways of obtaining the Australian Permanent Residency visa.
